GT7 to SimHub: UDP Telemetry Connection Guide

Gran Turismo 7 broadcasts telemetry packets across your local network. Follow these steps to route real-time physics data from your PlayStation into SimHub:

Step 1
Assign a Static Console IP

In your PS4/PS5 Network settings, note your consoleโ€™s IPv4 address (e.g., 192.168.1.150). Reserving this address in your router prevents disconnection between sessions.

Step 2
Configure SimHub Game Config

Under Games > Gran Turismo 7, click Game Config. Enter your PlayStation’s IP address and select your desired broadcast listening method.

Step 3
Set Your Listening Port

Default GT7 telemetry listens on UDP 33740. If you run forwarding middleware, packet splitters, or custom telemetry forwarders, match the port specified by your software.

Step 4
Import & Calibrate Profile

Head to Devices > Profile Manager, import the GarageWorks profile, and activate the outputs to your Simagic HPR channels.

๐Ÿ’ก Multi-Application / Port Note: Only one application on your PC can bind directly to a single incoming UDP port. If you run multiple telemetry dashboards or custom plugins concurrently, use an internal UDP proxy/forwarder to split packets across separate ports.

โšก Why Linear Reactors Beat Rumble Motors

Traditional rumble motors rely on an eccentric rotating mass (ERM) that takes 100โ€“200 milliseconds to spin up and slow down, creating laggy, muddy vibration. Simagic P-HPR reactors utilize high-velocity linear electromagnetic motors that respond instantaneously. When ABS engages in GT7, you feel a sharp, immediate pulse the exact millisecond threshold grip is broken.

โšก Required Hardware & Mounting Upgrades

Simagic P-HPR motors require custom mounting to interface with Fanatec CSL pedal arms without dampening linear telemetry.
